Millie has a problematic past that includes a stint in prison and is desperate for a job. When she is hired as the housemaid for Andrew and Nina Winchester, she thinks she has it made. Quickly, she learns that Nina is crazy as she constantly makes her second guess herself. The other problem is she finds herself attracted to Nina's husband, Andrew. When Andy admits feelings for her and asks Nina to move out is when the real danger starts. Millie wonders if she will make it out alive.
This book has had rave reviews so I decided to give it a try. The story started at a good pace and Nina's odd behavior made me think the story was heading in a very different direction. That being said, I felt the second half of the story was extremely rushed and took from the enjoyment of the story. If the book had been a bit longer, the flow of the story would not have seemed so fast. I intend to read the follow-up at some point and I am hoping for a longer story with time for a satisfying ending.
