March Releases

The cold weather should be waning here now and the warmer spring weather will take hold which will allow more time outside and enjoy time with my family. These are a few books I hope to take into the new season with me:

Now You See Us - Balli Kaur Jaswal (Publication Date 03.07.2023): The story of three female domestic workers who decide to solve a mystery that could affect all domestic workers, both known and unknown to them. When a woman is accused of killing her employer, the women use their knowledge and connection to other home workers to find out what happened. This is the latest release from the author of Erotic Stories for Punjabi Wives and The Unlikely Adventures of the Shergill Sisters.

The London Séance Society - Sarah Penner (Publication Date: 03.21.2023): Lenna Wickes has come to Paris to dabble in the occult to make contact with her sister. She knows that world-renowned spiritualist Vaudeline D'Allaire is hosting a séance. In an attempt to learn the art of the occult, Lenna accompanies Vaudeline when she is summoned to London to help solve a murder where they team up with a group of male occultists who may be involved in the murders. Sarah Penner also wrote the New York Times Bestseller The Lost Apothecary.

Strangers in the Night - Heather Webb (Publication Date: 03.21.2023): Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardener were made for each other except they are no good for each other. The couple brings the toxicity out of each other to where it is unhealthy to be together. The novel shows their ups and downs and the ways in which they remained connected until Gardner's death. I was lucky enough to read an advanced copy of this novel and if you are interested in reading that, you can click here.

The Perfumist of Paris - Alka Joshi (Publication Date: 03.28.2023): Radha is a woman now living in Paris with her husband and two children. She is known for her talent of finding the perfect scent for any woman who needs one. When she is given a large project, Radha returns to India to seek the help of her sister Lakshmi and the women of the area who use scent to entice and seduce. This is the last book in the Jaipur trilogy which includes The Henna Artist and The Secret Keeper of Jaipur.
