Mira is flying home for the holidays from California to Pennsylvania. She knows her mother needs her to deal with the anniversary of her aunt's death. East Coast weather has other plans though. When a blizzard starts to roll in, all flights in and out are canceled. Mira is offered a ride home from a young woman who she conversed with on the plane and a few other people.
Once they hit the road, they quickly discover that there are nothing but problems lying ahead. From creepy old men showing up everywhere, personal items going missing, and downhill accidents...anything that could go wrong does. On top of all this Mira's life is in danger and she isn't even aware that she is in the car with her stalker.
This was a storyline I have not read a lot of but I definitely got No Exit by Taylor Adams vibes. There were several times where I thought I knew who the "bad guy" was only to find out I was mistaken. The narrator did a wonderful job taking on each character's different attitudes and worries and made the story worth listening to. I look forward to reading more by Natale Richards or listening to Devon Sorvari.
