Exciting September Reads

September brings cooler weather and more chances to cuddle up on the couch and read. Some amazing new books are coming out to make those chilly days easier to get through...these are some of the books I'm looking forward to.

My Review


This story shares the experience of rebuilding Germany after World War II. The main character is a young Jewish woman who was born in Germany and was able to escape. She returns to a country she does not recognize and must reconcile the atrocities that happened there with the life she led.

My review


Twin sisters are separated by the sudden building of the Berlin Wall. Thanks to a hole in the wall, the sisters can visit until it is discovered by those wanting to pass messages to the other side. The Stasi, the German police, begin to take notice of the sisters and soon discover what is happening. Jutta is taken captive by the Stasi and questioned until she escapes.
