This is not a book I would have picked up on my own based on the cover. This book taught me that I should never again judge a book by a cover. This was wonderful and is in the running for my favorite book of the year.

Callie finds herself suddenly laid off from her position with a hefty severance package when the job of her dreams falls into her lap, the only downside is that the job begins in 6 months. While trying to figure out what to do with those 6 months until she gets a call from Hemingway - that's right, the long since deceased Ernest Hemingway! Her search for Hemingway leads her on the journey of a lifetime.

I am usually leary of male authors writing from a female perspective as it is usually skewed by the way they believe women would behave in a given situation but Ken Dortzbach did a wonderful job. He described Callie and her varied emotions throughout Spain beautifully. This was a book that hooked me from the very beginning and I laughed throughout numerous parts. I was very glad I read this.
