I have to be completely upfront and honest...I am not a Trump supporter and I never will be. That being said, I was eager to read this book because I thought it would offer exclusive inside information into why Donald Trump is the way he is. Sadly, I was left wanting. Donald Trump's niece wrote a story of how Donald became the egotist he is but it wasn't one that is unknown.

While most authors offer a version of history without inserting their own biases but it was obvious that Mary Trump had a personal ax to grind. Her ax is not without merit, her father was left to deal with his own alcoholism and illness and she and her brother were left out of their grandfather's will, but the story would have been stronger if she had been able to put her feelings aside.

For me, the author reaffirmed what I already believed. Donald Trump is an egotist who believes he can do no wrong and l never take responsibility for his own mistakes.will
