The story of Lace, Princess of Falhaven, and her journey through Pandemonium. Pandemonium is a magical show that has returned to Falhaven at the future King's request to celebrate his upcoming coronation after the heartbreaking death of his parents and the impending marriage of Lace, his sister, to the prince of a neighboring country as part of a peace agreement. Little does the King know that pandemonium is more than just the name of the show.
The Ringmaster of the show announces a contest that ten chosen people will take part in. The prize for this contest - the winner's deepest wish comes true. With a partner, she must complete certain magical tasks and then face off against her partner for the ultimate prize.
The first thing about this book that caught my eye was the cover. The cover image is beautiful and definitely grabs attention. This book caught my interest from the first chapter and kept me guessing as to who the Ringmaster was, who killed the King and Queen, and what was Lace's partner hiding? I found the book hard to put down and could not wait to see how the story ended. This book was reminiscent of some of my favorite fantasy books, The Night Circus and the Caraval series. I am usually a Kindle reader but have begun to collect physical books that I have felt drawn too and Pandemonium will be one of the books I soon add to my shelves. I am actively looking forward to the author's upcoming sequel, Catalyst.
