Jordan, the beautiful carpenter, who is suffering from a broken heart doesn’t want to fall in love after her marriage falls apart never saw Astrid coming. As the two women get to know each other, they start to realize that maybe they are looking for the same thing…destiny.
I love the Bright Falls series. The women are supportive of each other and only want happiness for those they love. While this was a sweet Hallmark-type love story, it also brings to light many important issues such as seeking parental acceptance and compulsive heterosexuality. These issues are extremely prevalent when finally realizing who you are. I love when a novel can involve such an important topic especially when there is a baby queer as one of the main characters. This was a fun and empowering story.
